Yes, it's Mandatory Whether you are a Speechie or a Debater, all returning members MUST participate in this debate, usually held at the end of the school year. Though the event is mandatory, it can be fun. The questions are wide open for interpretation. Define the terms as desired.

No, it's not a Value Debate Unless you want it to be, this does not have to be a value debate. This is your chance to debate any way you want – as long as you take it seriously. Want to do a Lincoln-Douglas? Great! Prefer to argue it as a Parli? Fine! Would you like to try a one-person Pu-Fo? Go for it!

It doesn't matter if a Parli goes up against a Lincoln-Douglas, or if a Speechie loses to a Debater. The point of the event is to improve as a team and individually while exploring some of the deep facets of a Big Question.
