General Guidelines
Parents and community members can support our team and our league by being a judge at our competitions. Judges should be one year removed from high school, have an open mind and a willingness to give of their time for the team. EDHS Speech and Debate requests that each of our competitors provide a judge (parent or otherwise) for at least six competitions (change from last season).
League Events and Invitationals
Our team participates in both league events and invitationals.
League events usually only last one day, and competitions are usually within a few hours driving distance. Invitationals are optional events that are usually outside our league, and therefore require more travel and overnight accommodations.
Our Calendar is updated regularly with event locations, dates, and times.
If you are a parent or are interested in judging, please consider signing up to judge or simply come and observe a competition to learn how you can support your student and stay connected.
